Liar v. Writer, Round 1

Liar v. Writer1

A political bombshell exploded in the literary world this week. A garden-variety writer with the name of Michael Wolff published an “insider’s” book on Donald Trump. It’s called Fire and Fury inside the Trump White House. I haven’t read the book. This cheap skate does not want to spend $18 to read about some loathsome fellow’s repugnant behaviors. True to his life-long strategy, through his obsequious press secretary, he denied everything that was said by Wolff because apparently nothing good about him was printed in it. Through his lawyers, he even sent a letter to Wolff and his publisher, threatening to sue them for defamation. Wolff’s public response: I should send him some chocolates. Dunno’s reaction sent he book sales flying through the roof. The copies were sold out as soon as they were delivered by the printer to the bookstores.

I just used the adjective “garden-variety” to describe Wolff. That was before last week. He is one of the most well-known people in the US now. I also said I haven’t read the book. I learned enough about it on YouTube and other media channels. I am definitely not spending a dime to learn more about Dunno; I’ll save it for my homeless friends on the street.

I know there are a good many people who adore Dunno because he is a “stable genius.” If you are one of them, tell me and my other readers why. I respect free speech. I hope you do too.

Also, in case you like to read more about Dunno, there must be a dozen or more books which were claimed to be written by Trump himself, or penned by others about him. Among them:

1. The Art of the Deal, by Tony Schwartz and Donald Trump.
After Schwartz ghost-wrote this book, he publicly said many times that he regretted doing it. He said he had “put lipstick on a pig.”

2. Trump is F*cking Crazy, by Keith Olbermann. Former TV commentator Olbermann is an out-spoken, harsh critic of Dunno. The title of his book says it all.

Again, a disclosure: I have not read any of the above books. I think I already know enough about this delusional man-child that I don’t need to waste my time on books confirming his lack of intellect and integrity.

A final note on the title, ….Round 1. Will there be a Round 2? I personally don’t think Dunno is going through with suing the author and the publisher, because that would mean he has to tell the truth in court. If that happened, those legal transcripts would be the most exciting court records since Watergate!
