“Old birds are not caught with chaff.”

(English) Meaning:

  1. You cannot catch old birds with chaff.
  2. One cannot catch old birds with husks.
  3. Experienced people are too shrewd to be deceived.
  4. Old people are astute and knowledgeable enough not to be deceived easily.

(繁)意思:【人老精,鬼老靈】。“用穀殼捉不住老鷹”或“老練的人不易上圈套”。

(简)意思:

rén lǎo jīng guǐ lǎo

“用穀壳捉不住老鹰”或“老练的人不易上圈套”。
