“Old birds are not caught with chaff.”
(English) Meaning:
- You cannot catch old birds with chaff.
- One cannot catch old birds with husks.
- Experienced people are too shrewd to be deceived.
- Old people are astute and knowledgeable enough not to be deceived easily.
(繁)意思:【人老精,鬼老靈】。“用穀殼捉不住老鷹”或“老練的人不易上圈套”。
