“Desert and reward seldom keep company.”

(English) Meaning:

  1. Those deserving of reward do not often receive it.
  2. Those most deserving of recognition are frequently overlooked.
  3. Those most deserving of recognition are frequently neglected, whilst others receive the praise.

(繁)意思:【功過和賞罰,很少能結伴】。也可以引伸為“有功不一定受獎,有過不一定受罰”。

(简)意思:

gōng

guò shǎng

hěn shào néng jié bàn

也可以引申为“有功不一定受奖,有过不一定受罚”。
