王占，1973年生，河北蔚县人。自幼酷爱美术，受家族影响12岁随父亲，学习剪纸艺术，18岁学习刻纸，30多岁自创撕纸艺术，在剪，刻，撕的表现手法上独具一格，在艺术的道路上有较大的突破。曾多次参加全国剪纸大赛，并荣获多次大、小奖。获奖作品中有【欢乐中国】、【二十四孝图】、【军民团结如一人，试看天下谁能敌】、【伟大的导师毛泽东】、【中国梦】、【喜迎奥运】等。现为中国蒙眼手撕剪纸第二、上海世界非物质文化城管委会《剪纸委员会》副主任、非遗传承人、毛泽东新闻研究院（院士）、中央书画院（院士）、毛泽东思想永放光芒纪念会（顾问兼理事）、国际功夫联合会京西剪纸协会（会长）和中国文联民间文艺家协会剪纸艺术委员会（会员）等。

Mr Wang Zhan was born in 1973 in Yuxian, Hebei China. As a young child he developed a passion for art and at age 12 was taught by his father the art of paper-cutting. At 18, his passion evolved into paper-carving and by 30 had self-taught and pioneered the art of paper-tearing. His aforementioned works of art are unique, defining a new style and appreciation for the younger generation and artisan community. He has participated and won numerous nation-wide competitions in China. His winning artworks include [Joy of China], [24 Filial Piety Charts], [Soldiers and Civilians United as One, Who in the World can Oppose], [Great Teacher Mao Zedong], [Chinese Dream], [Welcome the Olympic Games]. Wang is ranked 2nd in the art of blindfolded paper-tearing in China and is affiliated with the following institutions: vice director of the Shanghai World Intangible Cultural Heritage City Management Committee (Paper-cutting Committee), Chinese Cultural Heritage for paper-cutting (Member), Mao Zedong News Institute (Member), Mao Zedong Thought Forever Illumination Commemoration (Director and Consultant), Jingxi Paper-cut Association (President), International Kung Fu Federation, Paper-cutting Art Committee (Member) and China Federation of Folk Literature and Art Association.
