This week’s poem is dedicated to those who live alone either physically or mentally. Remember, you aren’t really alone being alone.
Missing You on Valentine’s Day
Up your window
Under the lamp’s shadow
In the drizzling raindrops
Around the same street blocks
Dawn arrives
Searching for your familiar smile
Tired heart
Longing refusing to part
Faded moments
Frayed fragments
Night unveils its dreamy face
Remembering the scent on the pillow case
First time I saw your eyes
I branded them in my mind
When you left you cried
Mentally I kissed your tears dry
Another Valentine’s Day bids good-bye
Am getting used to it, I’ll try
Am getting used to it, I’ll try
